In August of 2010, I packed up everything I could into two duffel bags and two backpacks and moved to the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina because I was offered a position near what I would consider a dream job. I am the lead Section 508 Technical SME for a large governmental agency. Prior to that, I was a computer specialist (or Assistive Technology consultant) at the Access Technology Center, where I converted text to Braille, among other things.
I have been using assistive technology since ~1994/5 in various forms, then have been working with it professionally since late 2003, aka been getting paid to talk to people. Posts in this blog are my personal opinion, and do not represent the position of my workplace. If you wish to use material, please make a comment or use my contact form, and I will get in touch.
