About Ryan
In August of 2010, I packed up everything I could into two duffel bags and two backpacks and moved to the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina because I was offered a position near what I would consider a dream job. I am the lead Section 508 Technical SME for a large governmental agency. Prior to that, I was a computer specialist (or Assistive Technology consultant) at the Access Technology Center, where I converted text to Braille, among other things.
I have been using assistive technology since ~1994/5 in various forms, then have been working with it professionally since late 2003, aka been getting paid to talk to people.
